Interview with Justanne Farrow.

Over the coming weeks and months, we will be bringing you a glimpse into the lives of some of our talented "Coming Together" authors. The first victim, I mean volunteer is the wise and wonderful Justanne Farrow.

Where in the world are you from?

I'm English, living with my partner in a small seaside town in the south of England.

When did you first start writing erotica and why?

I posted my first story, 'Summer Outing' on Literotica and Nifty, in May 2003. I had been in e-mail conversation with a fellow Literotica author forsome months, as a result of reading many of her stories, and after somediscussions on story lines, and showing one to her, she persuaded me that it was good enough to post on line. So I did, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Where do you get your inspiration from for your stories?

At first, my stories were the direct result of conversations, anddiscussions on scenarios, most of them being written in second person, whichto me was the natural way as I saw them as 'conversations', or 'letters'.Later, when I became more confident in my ability, I began to write in third person, and discovered that those stories seemed more professional, morecomplete, and definitely gained more appreciation from readers. My inspiration comes from many places; conversations will still inspire me, anoverheard snippet or one of my own. Scenarios will set up ideas in my head, whether seen on tv, in a magazine. When out, I people watch all the time, and in my head I continually make up story plots from glimpses of couples, individuals. Real life is a wonderful inspiration for fiction, which sounds bizarre, but it so true. What's that old saying...."There's now't so queeras folk."

Do you have any advice for budding writers?

Write. Anything, anytime, anywhere. Just write. It doesn't matter whatyou write, just write. Work on your craft, hone your technique, add to your vocabulary, but don't use complex words and phrases unless they areessential to the piece.

And read. As much as you can. Reading other authors will inspire you.

How did you get involved with Coming Together?

There had been much talk about the possibility of publishing a compilationof work from members of the Author Hangout on Literotica, and when Alessia Brio started the ball rolling, asking for members who wanted to become involved, have their work vetted for inclusion, I jumped at the chance to be part of this wonderful idea. To date, in the 4 published volumes (Vols, I,II and III and the Hurricane Relief issue), I have 2 stories and 4 poems published, and hope in future volumes, to have more of my work included.

Thanks for your time, Justanne. It wasn't that painful, was it?
